EP 6: 5 Questions Only with Lemuel Clark

Lemuel Clark was born in Wichita, KS on November 2, 1981. However, at the age 10 months old his family relocated to the city of New Orleans, LA where he was raised. A few years later, at the age three, Lemuel’s parents noticed an undeniable love for the drums, as he would practice on his mother’s pots and pans just like so many drummers start out doing. Upon noticing his new found obsession, Lemuel’s parents invested in his first drum set at the young age of four. By the time he was eight years old, Lemuel had secured his first position as the drummer for his home church, where he served for many years. As time passed, he continued to work on his craft, and as a result, he began playing for many churches, groups, bands and local artist in New Orleans and surrounding cities. At the age of 21, Lemuel realized that playing drums was not only a gift, but it was also a calling. Therefore, he decided to pursue music as his full time career. This decision would lead him to many rewarding experiences. He would go on to play for and share the stage with many national, as well as local artist. Some of these artist include Yolanda Adams, Vashawn Mitchell, PJ Morton, Naydja Cojoe, Sophia Mojo, Jimi Cravity, Mary Mary, Maurette Brown Clark, Vickie Winans and many others. He would also go on to become the musical director of the Beacon Light Baptist Church of Houma, LA where he served for eight years. These experiences have allowed him to become a well rounded person and musician.

Currently, Lemuel continues to perfect his craft. Now a resident of Los Angeles, CA, he is continually gaining the attention of those who are exposed to his gift. He endeavors to keep God as the center of all  he does on and off the drums and wishes to inspire others to do the same. Lemuel is also a member of the band NOOP in California.
